If you're like me, then you are sitting at home in your boxer briefs watching every sports personality you've ever respected weigh in on the upcoming "Epic Weekend for the NBA." Also you might have gotten bored and started looking at pictures of Serena Williams.
But you kept at it, probably because you found the above video. This guy, ESPN's Very Own Tom Penn (birth name, look it up) is quickly emerging as your favorite pundit not named Wolf Blitzer. His title, is actually "Capologist," and he took you for a ride on the "NBA Carousel."
Very rarely is the sports world gifted with a story that can so vacuoulsy fill a 24-hour news cycle. Halfway through Day One, LEBRONWATCH has brought every bit of hypothesizin' and prosthletizin' that you have hoped for.
Now if you are truly like me, then you have still not put your pants on, took a one hour writing break to make a Hot Pocket, and are desperately praying that by the end of this weekend, someone at ESPN will call CNN to borrow last year's Election Holograph equipment.
There's a whole lot of nothing out there today boys. Soon some real news will break. That will be cool.
Today I found out who Tom Penn is and that I love him. Came out of no where to my TV screen and is now my salary cap expert. When he showed up today, my father and I just stared at him in silence for a few minutes before my dad asked, "Who is this guy? Is he for real?" At the time I knew the answer to neither question, but after having Penn plastered everywhere I looked today (granted I mainly looked at ESPN today), I know who he is: My personal Capologist.
ReplyDeleteBut no Tom Penn, don't mention Juwan Howard going anywhere in the year 2010 like it means something.
