No Regard Daily Recaps: 11-1-10

One Game We Watched Last Night: Portland Trail Blazers Vs. Chicago Bulls

Portland: 98 Chicago: 110

Hot Deng! The story tonight was the African native and his scorching 40 points, which led Chicago in a dominating performance against the formerly undefeated Portland Trail Blazers. This game was never close. Rose was Rose and as usual stirred the drink for Chicago. Where was Roy? I propped him up big time in my preview and he didn't get it together. Here's everything else I thought about while watching this game (and my thoughts on one game I didn't watch).

*Coach T. has clearly defined that defense is a priority for the Bulls this year. They looked organized and passionate about this side of the ball.

*Noah is fast and has unique handles running the break off boards.

*Sick passing, sick ball-fakes, sick penetration all evening long from Rose. The no-look under hand lefty, yikes! What else is new?

*Deng is a soccer fan.

*Deng took only 19 shots? Effective, SOB.

One Game We Didn't Watch Last Night: Sacramento Kings Vs. Toronto Raptors

Kings: 111 Raptors: 108

Seriously, I'm getting a little pissed here. I sit through a non-competitive Bulls game so I've got intelligent things to write about, and I again overlook a Kings game that was high-scoring, close throughout, and came down to the final possession. I need to get my shit together. From the highlights, this game looked incredible. Evans was dope for the Kings with 23 points, 7 boards, 5 assists and 2 steals. While Casspi didn't have a double-double as predicted, he did have 14 points and shot 3-6 from beyond the arc. Bargnani lead all scorers with 28 points on 10-17 shooting; great night from him. With the win, the Kings move to 3-1 and for the first time since the '03-'04 season have won three out of their first four games. Kudos! They are going to be scary, scary good one day. And I might even watch them play soon.

  1. I thought Deng was from the UK not a native of Africa

  2. Thanks for the comment, Anonymous! You aren't way off here as Deng and his family did spend some time in London. That said, he was born in Sudan.

Where else has Deng lived? You guess it, New Jersey. When he was 14 he moved to the Garden state and balled at Blair Academy alongside Charlie Villanueva.

    Cool stuff, thanks for reading!
