No Regard Daily Previews: 11-22-10

One Game We Will Definitely Watch Tonight:
San Antonio Spurs Vs. Orlando Magic

Since 1997, Tim Duncan's draft year, at least two things have been constant for the Spurs. Winning and the ability to avoid any sort of drama or controversy. So ever since hearing about Tony Parker's recent off the court activities, I've wondered how this Spurs club might be affected by their first ever wave of media attention for something other than their dominance on the basketball court. If their response is anything like their sizzling start to this season, then San Antonio will be fine.

The Spurs have the best record in the league, tied only with New Orleans, and they've finally figured out how to remind Richard Jefferson that he used to be difficult to stop during his prime years in Jersey. RJ is dropping 16.3 points per contest on an efficient 53.8% from the field. They are who we thought they were, we just needed a reminder after their rare early playoff exit.

Whenever two of the four top seeds go at it in the NBA we know that the game means something. Be it for home court advantage, playoff placement, or for a simple mental edge, these teams will be playing hard tonight. Additionally, we'll receive more evidence as to which is the better conference this year, something that is not as clearly as defined as it has been in years past.

Can St. Joe's finest and the best dunker of all time stay with SA's speedy wing trio of the Frenchman, the Argentine, and the former Garden State resident? Can Superman win the battle of the bigs against the Big Fundamental? We'll have to tune in to find out.

One Game We Definitely Won't Be Watching Tonight:
Utah Jazz Vs. Sacramento Kings

"It's a love hate thing. So like, you know, right now I really love them, though."

-Seth, from the movie Superbad, on parties

Seth's relationship with parties is very similar my relationship with the Kings so far this season, except that right now, I don't really love them. If you've followed my previews, you noticed that, at first, I was always writing about how I was never going to watch the Kings. Then, every time I stated that I wasn't going to watch them, they played awesome and were great to watch. Thereafter, I changed my tune and exclaimed that I loved the Kings and wanted them to win every game. Now, I've decided that I really don't like the Kings anymore at all. Why, you ask? Look what they are doing to Blake Griffin!!

How dare they try and hurt him?! You're dead to me, Kings.
