One Game We Tried To Watch Last Night, But Kept Getting Distracted By Blake Griffin And His Potential Energy:
San Antonio Spurs vs. Orlando Magic

Learn this about us now: when we say in a preview that we'll "definitely" watch a certain game, we're lying. We're not trying to lie, but things come up, like say family coming into town a few days early for Thanksgiving or a basketball scrimmage against Eastern Europeans that will seal the fate of our team's regular season seeding. Or the possibility that Blake Griffin breaks the Internet again with a dunk. So, no, none of us watched this game in its entirety.

"I get that they're looking good, but I'm quickly tiring of the NBA pundit world talking about San Antonio like they're the chick that grew boobs over the summer. Just relax. This is how great-defending, hot-shooting teams with a HOF big man play when a certain Argentinian with a nose like a banana is feeling scrappy. Remember when they won all those championships with the same core they have now? Yeah, those dudes are still good."

And I agree for the most part, but 12-1 is an impressive record for a team—although still with its championship core—clearly past its prime.
