Who is Perk rooting for tonight?
Does he want a shot at the team that traded him? Or would he rather not have to deal with the emotional baggage that comes with playing against Rondo and the guys? Or is he the type to ignore narrative altogether and just worry about actual basketball?
I am very conflicted about this and think its such a interesting question.
ReplyDeleteOn one hand, I do think the idea that a competitor of his status would definitely want a chance to show Danny Ainge what he's missing. On the other, deep down, its hard to muster the motivation to battle against people you love and have such amazing memories with. He doesn't like LBJ, this much we know. I think, ultimately, he wants Miami to win.
Also, from a pragmatic view of things, the prospect of dealing with KG, or Joel A. in the paint would probably lead him to want to face the Heatles.
