Team Dreamin' 2011: Looking Back, Looking Forward

Maybe you are new to our Team Dreamin' 2011 feature, or maybe you could use a refresher. Whoever you are, here is a brief look into what we at No Regard have dreamed up so far for the NBA 2011 season; what the league would look like if we had our way.

Antoine Walker is back in Boston and taking advantage of the league's newly implemented 4-point shot, but the Celtics aren't the only team making a risky roster move, with the Nets signing a Harlem Globetrotter. Also hoping get to creative with its roster, OKC creates Hard Collison (James Harden sitting on Nick Collison's shoulders wearing a custom parachute jersey) to toughen up it's frontcourt.

The Pacers have a new stadium for the start of the season and the Wizards are back to their old name, the Bullets. The Clippers are long gone from LA and reside in Las Vegas.

Steve Nash is retired from the NBA and is a midfielder for the NY Red Bulls. Upon winning his first ever MLS Cup, Nash dramatically re-signs with the Suns and leads them back to the playoffs. Tony Parker's wife (Eva) finally has season courtside seats to the Spurs and Paul Vasquez announces Warriors games. The Cavs earn the 8th seed and face Miami in the 1st round of the playoffs.

The Lakers roster is blown up, retaining only Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol. Marc Gasol, Brook Lopez, and Robin Lopez are the newest Lakers, having been dealt to LA with Jerry hoping to create the coolest, twinsiest team ever in the NBA.

David Stern is a hero for organizing the first ever 1 on 1 tournament at the NBA All-Star game in Los Angeles.

Most importantly, our favorite teenager is a grown up.

Who knows what we'll dream up next? The Magic develop Dwight Howard into a deadly 3-point shooter? The Utah Jazz fire Jerry Sloan? The Knicks do something?!? As always, we'd love to hear what you think about our dreams so far as well as some 2011 dreams of your own.
