A Tribute to the O.G.O

That stands for the Original Greg O. As you may have heard, Greg Ostertag may end up playing and/or assistant coaching with the D-League's Texas Legends, who have a name only our EndlessPat could love.

We hope that you're all as excited as we are about seeing Ostertag back on the court, and if you're not, we think this tribute will help get you there.

Suck it, Oden:

"I don't mind if they clean it up a little bit, ... but they can go without them -- sport coats. They're going to get the worst-looking one they've ever seen on me. I'll go buy one off a guy on the street." - O.G.O. on the NBA's instilling of a dress code

"People are always asking me what's going to happen when John and Karl are gone and what the future will look like for the Jazz. As I thought about it... it struck me that a big part of the answer to that question is sitting next to me." - Jazz owner Larry H. Miller at the press conference for O.G.O.'s six-year contract extension in 1997.

"Greg Ostertag is one of the top centers on this planet!" - Bill Walton

“I've run out of gas. I'm tired of being on the road. I just don't have it.” - Greg Ostertag

  1. First, don't ever say suck it Greg Oden. He doesn't deserve it.

Also, I love how no one's sure if he's going to play, assistant coach, or both. Honestly, that decision should be made by now.

  2. Didn't anyone see Mighty Ducks 2? Ostertag is clearly going to pull a Charlie and do both. He'll have a talk with Coach Estevaz about how the team needs his basketball IQ off the court and all he wants to do is help the team. Then in the big game, the new hotness center will go down from a dirty play on the bad guys team. Enter Big Greg the First to make the game winning - wait...he got blocked. People are laughing now.

Also, don't say shit about the Texas Legend, they're an important development team and I will literally fight you.
