I mean, if Izzo took the job and Lebron did leave, he'd basically be coaching a college team, only the Lebronless Cavs might have a worse squad than Michigan State.
Nope, reveals nothing about LeBron. I don't understand why some people think a college coach with no NBA experience (or, in the case of Calipari, a college coach who has unsuccessful NBA experience) would sway LeBron.

Adam: Yeah, I was quick to jump on that and wrote without thinking. Guess I just needed to vent. But I think all this means is that he couldn't get 100 percent confirmation that LeBron was staying. Which of course he couldn't get. Unfortunately for the Cavs, I don't see any big name coach signing on before LeBron. Or LeBron signing on before any big name coach. So there's that.

I think it indicates that the Cav's will be offering Lebron a "player-coach" role for the 2010-2011 season.
ReplyDeleteAndrew, I more meant: Did Izzo get any inside information about LeBron's chances of staying that made him turn down the offer?
