Bibby's World: Traded

Don't know how we locked this down, but we'd like to introduce you to No Regard's newest blogging sensation... Mike Bibby! He'll be checking in whenever he can, just to remind us: It's Bibby's World, we just live in it!

So last night I'm running my typical 9PM Wednesday routine (playing Ms. PacMan and drinking red wine), when I see something ridiculous on the ESPN ticker: "Mike Bibby traded to Wizards." Now obviously I think it's a joke, because the last time my ESPN ticker said anything about me, it was, 'Mike Bibby traded to Lakers for a stack of Magic Cards', which just turned out to be a prank that Coach Mike was pulling on me. After checking on Twitter, it appeared that the trade was legit. "I'm going to the Wizards," I yell to my wife. "Mike," she says, "there's wine all over your lips." Sure enough, there was.

The White House

Instead of talking about what it means to be on that team, because we all know that's the boring stuff, I'm going to list some of the things that I'm looking forward to doing in our nation's capital:

1) Meet the president. Obviously.

2) Pass a law that sets a universal speed limit of 68 miles per hour. This would save a ton of tax money on street signs. Again, obviously.

3) Go to the Museum of Crime & Punishment, specifically the America's Most Wanted Studio that's INSIDE the Museum of Crime & Punishment.

Though this video is kinda long, it's really good.

4) Attend a rally. Hold a sign. Shout what everyone else is shouting.

5) Enroll in a politics class at Georgetown. (I have almost zero understanding of how government works.)

6) Make a cameo appearance on The West Wing.

Though it's a short list, it's a pretty tough one to fulfill, so I'm going to restrain myself from adding anything else to it right now. I'm still waiting for someone in DC to name a sandwich after me, though I have a couple ideas: The Big Bibby, Bibby Got Back, HamBibby with Cheez, The Bibbywich, and The Three-Point Swoosh Burger. I figure it's going to take a little time for people to make new menus with my sandwiches on them, so I'm not upset that it hasn't happened yet.

Anyone hungry for a Bibbywich?

Alright everyone, look out for me running point on the Wizards. I don't recognize the names of any of the other point guards, so I should be starting for them. My first game is this Saturday at the White House, so wish me luck!

Bibby Out!

  1. I think we should cut together a trailer for Bibby's cameo on the West Wing.

  2. I like the "Bibby's got Back" idea, too.
