Just want to give a "Facebook thumbs up" to Jalen Rose and whoever else was involved in the making of the Fab Five documentary which premiered on ESPN last night. If you didn't get to watch it, I strongly suggest doing so whenever it airs next. Here are some of the highlights that stood out as particularly noteworthy for No Regard staffers:
*The footage of middle school C-Webb dunking all over white boys about a foot smaller than him is remarkable.
*I didn't realize how much of a shit-talker Jalen Rose was. I can only imagine the sort of language coming out of his mouth during those games.
*Speaking of shit that came out of Jalen's mouth, "I thought Christian Laettner was a pussy," and "We used to call them the Ohio State Fuckeyes." Gold.
*I haven't giggled like I did since grade school after seeing how badly Juwan Howard wanted to be on The Cosby Show. "The Cosby Show! The Cosby Show!" is pretty much all he could say after they beat Temple.
*Similarly, I giggled pretty hard when I realized that the Miami Heat signed him this year.
*Perhaps, I am nieve but I can't get over the racist letters the University received from alumni about their hatred toward the Fab Five. This was the early 90's, not the 19th century. Jesus, those people are disgusting.
*Pretty confident that Webber didn't want to participate in the making of this documentary because of the controversy over the booster giving him money and not because of the time-out. Is that obvious?
*I also didn't know that he traveled and it wasn't called before the aforementioned time-out. Watching him walk off the court after that game was bone-chilling.
*Needless to say, Grant Hill's haircut was fresh as hell.
